The project

The project aimed to create an informative poster on navigating complex systems, presenting a novel research and development approach tailored to a specific UN Sustainable Development Goal. This infographic serves as an adaptable strategic framework, guiding the audience on effectively managing the dynamic and intricate challenges associated with the goal. The focus is on mitigating negative consequences rather than prescribing a singular solution."

Research and study

The project commenced with a preliminary overview of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), followed by in-depth research encompassing all the targets associated with each main goal. From this comprehensive examination, we were tasked with selecting our top three SDGs, with one designated as the primary focus. After rigorous evaluation, SDG 3, centered on 'Good Health and Well-being,' emerged as the primary focus. The subsequent prioritization of the remaining SDGs was determined by their impact on the chosen primary goal.

SELECTED TARGET

Access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including family planning, information and education, and the integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programs in India.

Interaction Matrix

After target selection, we conducted thorough secondary research to understand the factors influencing the primary goal, identify key agents, and assess potential obstacles. We then proceeded to research and identify agents crucial to shaping the primary goal. For instance, in the context of ensuring access to sexual and reproductive health-care services in India, doctors and nurses played a pivotal role.

Following brainstorming and utilizing Miro for visual representation, we designed an interaction matrix to visually encapsulate the data, including the +2, +3, and -1 SDG interactions with agents, along with a STEEP analysis of these agents.

Conclusion

The visualization reveals crucial gaps, enabling targeted systemic changes and strategic goal pursuit. While India has made progress, key aspects need attention to fully achieve access to sexual and reproductive health-care services and integrate them seamlessly into national strategies.
